Manual Therapy in Nalasopara
Manual therapy is skilled, hands-on treatment used to restore movement in a stiff joint, release a muscle that will not let go, and reduce pain that has not settled with rest alone. At our Nalasopara clinic it is almost always combined with exercise, because hands-on work opens the door and exercise keeps it open.

Symptoms we treat with manual (hands-on) therapy
- A joint that feels locked, blocked or stiff after injury
- Muscle spasm or knots that keep returning
- Neck or back stiffness that is worse in the morning
- Reduced movement that limits work or daily activity
How your treatment works, step by step
- 1
Assessment
We test each joint and muscle to find exactly which structure is restricted, rather than treating the whole area blindly.
- 2
Hands-on treatment
Joint mobilisation, soft tissue release and myofascial techniques applied at a pressure you are comfortable with.
- 3
Immediate re-test
We re-check your movement in the same session so you can feel the change, not just be told about it.
- 4
Exercise to hold the gain
A short home routine so the movement you gained on the table stays with you.
Most patients feel a change within 2–3 sessions; a typical course is 6–8 sessions.
Manual (Hands-On) Therapy — common questions
Does manual therapy hurt?
You may feel firm pressure and some short-lived soreness afterwards, similar to after exercise. Techniques are graded to your comfort and nothing is forced.
Is manual therapy the same as massage?
No. Massage mainly targets soft tissue for relaxation. Manual therapy is a diagnostic-led treatment aimed at a specific joint or tissue restriction identified during assessment.
